Menae (メーネ, Mēne. Also spelt Möhne, or Mene) was Cordelia's mother and biological aunt of Carla and Shin. She has yet to make a physical appearance in the anime, the games or any manga series.
Apperance
It is suspected that Menae might have had purple hair and green eyes, like her daughter Cordelia.
Personality
Menae was a kind person and sweet person. She deeply cared about her Demonkind and was willing to betray Lord Giesbach with her sister. She was willing to sacrifice everything with hope to save their kind from Endzeit illness. She respected her elder sister Krone and she also cared about her nephews and was a mother figure to them.
History
She was infected with Endzeit and was, in agreement with Krone, to work with Karlheinz to receive help with curing the disease. However, she is unable to visit him when Krone's husband, Giesbach, jealous of Karlheinz's power, declares war upon him and the Demon Lord and King of Vibora, Burai. She receives instructions on how to slip through the barrier surrounding the castle and leaves on the night of a lunar eclipse[1].
It's said that she had a jade brooch/pendant containing her memories and is imbued with magic, which she always kept locked away in a small silver box. The Tsukinami's, prior to the events of Dark Fate, seek to find this brooch as they themselves have lost memories of their past during Menae's escape[1].
Relationships
Krone
Krone was Menae's older sister. Menae deeply respected her and loved her a lot. She wanted to aid and support Krone to save their race from the disease and her sons during the hardships they encounter because of Giesbach becoming a mad king who neglected his race and the Endzeit problem while having jealousy wars with Karlheinz.
Carla Tsukinami and Shin Tsukinami
She is sister of Krone, making her aunt of Carla and Shin; although she was like a mother to them. During the events of Dark Fate, Shin and Carla seek out Menae to continue the First Blood race. However, disguised, Richter informs them of her death and, instead, mentions to them about Cordelia and the transferal of her heart into a human woman.
Cordelia
She is Cordelia's mother, although she died after her birth. Richter said Cordelia never told him about her mother.
Burai
Menae was send to Lord Burai by Karlheinz for his own research plans. The Demon Lord and King of Vibora - Burai is the father of Cordelia. He most likely doesn't know Menae's true origins. Menae gave birth to his daughter.
Abilities
It is assumed Menae possessed all of the basic/passive abilities for a First Blood.
Trivia
- She was the last female of the First Bloods.
- Karlheinz gave her to the Demon Lord and King of Vibora (Burai is from the Vibora Clan) as a mistress/empress wife so Karlheinz could have children with their daughter, Cordelia.
- Mene is also the name of Selene, the goddess of the moon in Greek mythology, whilst Möhne is a river in Germany.
