Chapters[]

Chapter One[]

The chapter begins with the triplets, Ayato, Laito and Kanato gossiping about the edge of the Demon World. While they're talking, we see an unknown figure taking the so called, "forbidden fruit" from the tree, and eating it. However when they do, they soon grow fangs and frantically mutter about being "unable to live" without the powers that the fig gives.

The triplets are seen being measured for new outfits for the upcoming ceremony, till the sound of Cordelia's shrill voice can be heard from down the hall. Angered that her sons are having their ceremony alongside Beatrix's sons, she protests their involvement with Karlheinz. Meanwhile, Laito and Ayato theorise about Christa's son Subaru, whom they have not yet met, realising all six of them will be partaking in the ceremony together, further making guesses about what it may entail.

Later having tried and failed to learn anything new from Reiji and Shu, Ayato is being put to bed by his butler, asking him as well if he knows about the ceremony. To his disappointment, he doesn't, and he explains that only specially selected vampires go through with it.

After he has fallen asleep, it shows Karlheinz having gathered his children up into a room in a room resembling a dungeon, all of them still sleeping. There, he speaks to them that they all have the potential to become an 'Adam', and they shall be 'reborn in their dreams'.
